Carney Lab attends ISEV 2024 in Melbourne, Australia
Prof. Carney, along with lab members Rachel, Hannah, and Neona, attended the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles (ISEV) Annual 2024 meeting held in Melbourne, Australia.
The team shared their latest EV discoveries. Neona presented a poster on engineering EVs with cell-penetrating peptides, demonstrating innovative methods to enhance the delivery of therapeutic agents. Rachel's poster focused on the role of cancer EVs in causing neuroinflammation, providing new insights into the inflammatory behavior of EVs. Hannah showcased her work on detecting bacterial EVs in blood circulation as a novel approach to diagnosing sepsis, highlighting the potential for early and accurate detection of this life-threatening condition.
Their presentations underscored the lab's dedication to pushing the boundaries of EV research and their applications in various fields of medicine.
We'll miss you Australia!
